Stop the doomscroll.
Earn your short videos.
Aura gives you a daily bank of short-video minutes. When they run out, you recharge by solving micro-puzzles. And your chats are never blocked.
- 5 minof base balance every day
- 100%of detection, on your phone
- 0chats blocked: your DMs stay free
How it works
Three simple rules that turn autopilot scrolling into a choice.
-
1
A daily bank of minutes
Every morning you start with a small balance for short videos. A floating pill shows what is left while you watch Reels, Shorts or TikTok.
-
2
A curtain, not a punishment
When the balance hits zero, a curtain covers the video. You choose: keep chatting or recharge. Aura never acts without your tap.
-
3
Recharge with your mind
Solve a one-minute micro-puzzle and earn +5 min. Always within a healthy daily limit that does not pile up.
Everything you need to win back your attention
-
Your chats, always free
Opening your direct messages pauses the counter. WhatsApp and Messenger are never watched.
-
Micro-puzzles
Memory matrix, Flow connect and Core unlock: short challenges that wake your mind up.
-
Raise your Aura
Every recharge adds XP. Ten levels, from Rookie Mind to Infinite Aura, plus a daily streak. You only ever add up.
-
Honest stats
Minutes used and earned with effort over the last 7 days, and how your use changes week to week.
-
A card to share
Show off your level and streak with a card ready for your stories, with no personal data.
-
Local privacy
Nothing you see on screen leaves your phone. No accounts, no servers of our own.
Privacy first, by design
Aura uses the Android accessibility service only to tell whether you are in a short-video feed or in your messages. All detection happens on your device: we never read your conversations, we do not store passwords and no screen data leaves your phone. We explain it before asking for the permission, and you can say "Not now".

Frequently asked questions
What is Aura: Stop Doomscroll?
A free Android app that limits the time you spend on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Facebook Reels with a daily bank of minutes that you recharge by solving micro-puzzles.
Does Aura block WhatsApp or my direct messages?
No. Messaging apps are never watched, and inside Instagram, TikTok or Facebook the counter pauses when you open your direct messages. When in doubt, Aura would rather give you a few seconds than block a conversation.
Does Aura read my messages or what is on my screen?
No. The accessibility service only checks interface identifiers (such as which tab is open) to know whether you are in a short-video feed. It does not read the text of your messages, and everything is processed on your phone.
Why does it need the accessibility permission?
It is the only way Android offers to know, without sending anything to the internet, whether the open screen is a short-video feed or a conversation. Without it, Aura could not pause the counter in your chats.
How do I earn more minutes?
By solving micro-puzzles (+5 min each) or, on the free plan, by watching up to 3 optional ads a day (+5 min). Recharges respect a healthy daily limit of 45 minutes.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan protects up to 2 apps at a time and includes unlimited Memory matrix plus one daily game of Flow connect and Core unlock. Aura Pass PRO is coming soon.
Does it work on iPhone?
For now Aura is only available for Android (7.0 or later) on Google Play.
